A pained moan sounded in the hospital room, drawing everyone's attention to the man lying in the bed.

Song Qichen felt a headache brewing, almost exploding in pain. Struggling to open his eyes, he found the hospital room jam-packed with people, all looking at him anxiously.

What's going on? Wasn't he dead already? The car exploded and he was trapped in the blaze with Gu Mengxi. Were they rescued again?

Gu Mengxi, where was she? Did she survive along with him?

Withstanding the intense pain, Song Qichen tried to sit up and look for her, only to be interrupted by an incoming voice,

"Achen, what are you trying to do? The doctor said you need to rest and cannot move now!"

That voice was so familiar, Song Qichen would know it anywhere. He barely moved his head and saw the woman standing next to him. An icy sternness flickered in his eyes.

"Don't touch me!"

Upon seeing Song Lan enter, Gu Mengxi subconsciously tried to pull her hand from Song Qichen's grip, but his strength proved too great. After a few futile struggles, she eventually gave up.
